| Bio: | I am Bear. I once gave my brother six stitches when I hit him in the face with a golf club (a five iron, I believe). I was 18 before I learned how to burp on command. I cried when my cousin told me Santa Claus wasn't real. I would occasionally engage in rock fights with my brother. Spelling errors shit me. I possess the ability to crap on about almost anything. I have read Crime and Punishment, without skipping a single page. I like to wear suits. I hate Oprah Winfrey. And The Naked Chef. I would always let myself get caught while playing catch and kiss. I have tried to woo a woman by buying her flowers. She was not wooed. I have seen Antarctica with my own eyes. I hate the phrase "Generation X". I can never get my hair to look as good as it does straight after a haircut. I have met Will Smith. I have held an Olympic medal in my hand. I am a journalist. I once asked an Elvis impersonator if the King was really dead. I have phoned the media officer for the Prime Minister of Australia and asked him, "why don't we drive on the right-hand side of the road?". In a TV review I called the Ricki Lake Show "sewer muck". I have suffered the following sporting injuries: four broken fingers, three concussions, two fractured wrists, a broken toe, a wound to my knee requiring 16 stitches, a bruised hip, pulled shoulder muscle, strained knee ligaments, bruised cheekbone, fractured cheekbone and a finger in the eye. For several years my friends thought I'd played in a high school thrash band called Fuckers of The Dead. Because that's what I told them. It was a lie. I cuddle after sex. I have been called "stupid", "fucking retarded" and "lovemaster". Each at different times. At the time, all three descriptions were accurate. I have a huge weakness for girls with ponytails. If they also wear a baseball cap I'm completely at their mercy. I am my little sister’s favourite brother. In 1999 I was named Best Back in the premiership-winning Port Kembla Blacks reserve grade Australian rules football team. One of my favourite sporting memories is playing in a celebrity match as a curtain-raiser to a National Soccer League match and hearing my name and jersey number announced over the public address system. I turn every sport I play into a body contact sport. I learnt the hard way never to say a bad thing about a girlfriend's mother. I once won a bubble-gum blowing contest at a campground called Jellystone National Park. One of my dreams is to dress up as a mascot at a football game. Foster's is not Australian for beer. | |||||
